Qdoba - Alhambra, CA

Today was my last day of school, and it was time to say good-bye to my friends. We took pictures and had a party. However, it was soon time to go and start our summer vacations. I didn't want to leave school so early since we got out at 11:30, so I decided to stay after school to help some of my teachers clean their classrooms. I assisted my homeroom teacher for about an hour, and then I left to help my music teacher to clean out his classroom. After cleaning for about 45 minutes, some his other former students who were also helping out got hungry. Therefore, they decided to go to Qdoba Mexican Grill in Alhambra.

Here is the outside and the menu. When we entered, my music teacher told me that everything here was good, so I didn't need to worry about ordering anything gross. I end up getting a chicken quesadilla and sharing it with my friend since we had already eaten. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture because I didn't want to seem odd just randomly taking a picture of our food. However, this quesadilla was excellent. The melted cheese and chicken made this so yummy. I would get this again if I came back. My other friends got the grilled chicken nachos and the vegetarian burrito. It was nice having a late leisurely lunch with my friends. It was the perfect way to end the year and say good-bye to my friends.

Another year over and done

Last Friday, I promoted from Junior High School. It was a great day for me, but it was also sad. I would be saying good-bye to my school and some of my friends. However, I am eager to see what high school has in store for me next year. As one chapter ends, another begins. I will always remember the memories and accomplishments I made this year.

During my school year, I achieved many things and at the end of the year, I was acknowledged for my actions. On Friday, I received an award for academic excellence. Today, I received two more trophies. One was for student of the year in language arts, while the other one was for being secretary of the National Junior Honors Society. It was a terrific year for me, and I shall always remember it. I can't wait to see what lies ahead.

Just a food kind of weekend

During the weekend, I spent the weekend at home as usual except this weekend, there seemed to be a lot more food than usual. I noticed lots of cooking going on and I kept smelling some delicious food, so I went to go see what was going on. There was lots of action going on, and it even continued today as I noticed when I arrived home.

On Sunday morning, my got up early to make some joong. Then, she cooked them in this large container. After lunch, my parents went outside to take them out.

Here are the finished joong! :)

After they were finished, my dad began cooking this chicken on the fire.

While it was cooking, I took a walk around the garden. Here is our large passion tree. There is lots of fruit to be had, and the flowers are in bloom.

Lots of colorful flowers!

There are lots of peaches on the peach tree.

Now where were we again? Oh right. My dad finished cooking the chicken and began cooking this fish. It was really tasty.

I got hungry after watching all this food cooking, so I went to get a snack. I ate some che with taro in it that my mom made on Saturday.

Then, my mom washed some cherries and cooked some corn. The cherries were great.

The next day, I came home to these coconut joongs. These were tasty.

My mom also made some of these. I'm not quite sure what these are called. I believe that they are filled with coconut and peanuts.

We have lots of bread.

Healthy drink

This pretty much wraps up all the food that I had this weekend. It is all delicious, and I will enjoy eating it during the week. It was too bad that my sisters weren't here to enjoy this great food. Maybe next weekend. Until then, have a good week.
